AUTHOR APPRECIATION POST: Holly Bourne

HAPPY WEEKEND 💕 Years ago, before I even knew of the existence of Bookstagram, I stood inside a bookstore staring at the shelves before making the decision to buy one of @hollybourneya’s books, mostly because I am drawn to gorgeous covers and can’t resist them. And let’s face it, her books have beautiful covers! 🥰🤩

However, when I dived into the book, I fell in love with the story too and I found myself deciding that I want (need🙃) to collect them all. Holly is one of a few authors that made me fall in love with Young Adult fiction. ❤️

Her books are such page turners and easy to read, the characters are so real and authentic making them easy to love and their experiences are extremely relatable - neither they or their lives are unrealistically perfect which makes the reader feel reassured that they aren’t alone in their experiences and struggles. Her books also highlight some VERY important issues such as mental health, the effects of toxic relationships, feminism and much more.

The amazing people over at @penguinbooksya kindly sent me copies of the books that were missing from my YA Holly Bourne collection. Don’t they look amazing together? Thank you so much @penguinbooksya ❤️❤️ I appreciate you more than words can say. I can’t wait to read these books and I AM SO EXCITED to read Holly’s latest release, The Yearbook, which is now available in South African bookstores!
