I am so glad I started off my Pride Month TBR with this book. 🏳️🌈 I highly recommend picking this up!❤️ It is such a heartwarming book and the characters and their story just feels so real and authentic. 🥰

The book follows two main characters. New York residing aspiring author Ben, who loves wizards & The Sims & who just came out of a bad breakup, & sweetheart Arthur who is doing an internship in New York for the summer.☀️
"How the world - the business of Times Square - can feel like it's falling away when you're with the right person."
Their paths cross one day at the Post Office, but they don't trade numbers or even names, leaving it up to them & the universe to find each other again in the city that never sleeps.
"This apartment isn't home for either of us, but we're home to each other, & that's what makes every wall fall away so I only focus on him."
I love how real the characters' personalities & their relationship with each other feel & how relatable this book is. While it is filled with cute and sweet moments which had me smiling at a book at 1 am☺️, it also touched on so many real issues which are a part of life, such as breakups, insecurities, those nervous but exciting butterflies linked to new relationships & experiences, disagreements, financial and academic struggles, family issues, friendships & the fact that two people who just want to be happy together, still have to deal with homophobia 💔
"Like any affection is going to become a target sign on our backs. Like we'll get punished because our hearts are different."
I loved the families & friends of the main characters too & feel like they all added something unique to the story. Ben's best friend, Dylan, is such an amusing & comical character who can make a joke out of just about anything.
"But maybe this isn't how life works. Maybe it's all about people coming into your life for a little while and you take what they give you and use it on your next friendship or relationship."
I have to admit that I am so glad there will be a sequel, as the ending just didn't do it for me. 😫 It felt like we had this long build up to the ending and then the ending was very different to what I was expecting. I wish we could fast forward so I can see how this all pans out. ❤️
